Àṣẹ Yoga and Meditation is a community-centered wellness collective offering yoga, meditation, and energy healing in spaces designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and transformative. We bring accessible, pop-up wellness experiences to communities and individuals who may not feel seen or supported in traditional wellness settings.
Rooted in inclusivity and empowerment, our mission is to create sacred spaces for inner growth, self-discovery, and holistic healing. We guide individuals on a journey to reconnect with their mind, body, spirit, and soul through intentional, transformative practices. We believe yoga and meditation are more than just practices—they are pathways to remembrance. Through breathwork, movement, rest, and sound, we return to our inner knowing.

ÀSE (ah-SHAY) is a sacred word rooted in the Yoruba tradition of West Africa. It is a powerful affirmation—an invocation of energy, intention, and the divine ability to manifest. It means “so it is”, “may it be so”, or “the power to make things happen.”
Àṣẹ Yoga and Meditation emerged from both stillness and fire. Founded by Kia Lee, a practitioner of embodied healing who integrates movement, meditation, and ancestral traditions, Àṣẹ Yoga and Meditation was created from a deep desire to reconnect with the body as more than just a physical form. It honors the body as a sacred vessel—for emotion, spirit, memory, and transformation.

At Àṣẹ Yoga and Meditation, we honor ancestral wisdom by creating a space where healing, movement, stillness, and spirit can unite—especially for those whose stories and spirits have long been overlooked in traditional wellness spaces.
Kia is the founder of Àṣẹ Yoga and Meditation and is deeply passionate about meditation, sound healing, and energy work. She thoughtfully integrates these practices into her classes to help students not only build strength and flexibility but also restore balance and harmony within.
By combining mindful movement, breathwork, and healing sound frequencies, Kia creates a transformative experience that nurtures both body and mind. Her approach gently guides each student toward inner peace, self-awareness, and holistic well-being.
A strong advocate for rest and recovery, Kia emphasizes the importance of listening to the body and honoring moments of stillness as an essential part of achieving true vitality and sustainable wellness.
